With less than three months to go, this year’s WCEU will welcome WordPress enthusiasts from around the globe to the arts and culture capital of Switzerland – Basel. Known for it’s perfect blend of modern culture and historical traditions, Basel is a metropolis of contrasts that proudly houses modern architectural masterpieces alongside historical landmarks. Situated on both sides of the Rhine, the city provides a rich history and is full with hidden alleyways, secret squares and many century-old buildings – a picturesque location for WordCamp Europe 2025.
Due to its rich history, the town boasts a bunch of historical landmarks to visit including the Basler Münster Cathedral, old town and Spalentor, all of which we will try to fit in amongst the WordCamp schedule!
As well as Contributor Day and a host of exciting workshops, the event promises to welcome a wealth of WordPress and industry leading speakers to its stage to share innovative practice for the number one CMS. This three day event is a long standing key date in Big Bite’s calendar and after our trip to Torino last year, we’re excited to meet up with everyone again for our first WordCamp of 2025 – Jason, Iain, Mark and Sarah from the team will be heading to Basel so if you see them, be sure to say hey!
With the speaker lineup to be announced in the coming weeks, we’re looking forward to seeing this year’s agenda and finding out who will be sharing their insights and work. We’ll be sharing a roundup of our highlights from WordCamp Europe 2025 upon our return, so keep an eye out on our website and socials.
