As car showrooms begin to reopen with the easing of some COVID-19 restrictions, the demand for cars has rocketed, and potential buyers are seeking motor advice from trusted sources online ahead of showroom visits.

In response to this growing demand, we’re thrilled to have launched a new online content resource for the number one classified site in the UK, Gumtree. The Gumtree Motors Car Guides website encompasses everything from car reviews, best-of style articles, and practical advice guides; all of which relate to and feed into the Gumtree cars classifieds.

The initiative is part of EBay Motor Group’s strategy to increase awareness of its online automotive platforms.

“The new Gumtree Motors Car Guides will help consumers through every step of the purchasing process from researching and finding their next car to buying it from one of our dealer partners”

Dermot Kelleher, head of marketing and research at eBay Motors Group

To give Gumtree the ability to scale quickly and react to growing trends, we have provided the team with all the tools necessary to self-build and self-publish content quickly and efficiently with the use of Gutenberg. The key benefits of the editor align with Gumtree’s business goals and allows the non-technical teams within the company to create and launch landing pages in-house, while maintaining an on-brand core design, high levels of information security and a refined UI and UX.

Following the launch of the Cars Guides website, we have also launched an additional content site for Gumtree in just a matter of weeks, Gumtree Lifestyle, illustrating the agility of the Gutenberg project.
